After successfully using EurekaLog in a couple of projects, I tried adding it to a new project. However, if I link EurekaLog for this new project (whether or not it's enabled), I get the following error:

---------------------------
Terminal63.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

This happens before WinMain is called.

This is with EurekaLog Pro 6.0.17, C++Builder 2007.

Hi,

do you have just try to see if works only disabling EurekaLog?

If I just disable EurekaLog, I still get the access violations.

Hi Jokkey,

so seems the problem is not EurekaLog related.

PS: do you have removed any EurekaLog units references?

Yes, the problem does seem to be EurekaLog related.

If I enable EurekaLog on a new project, I get the error.

If I disable EurekaLog on a new project but still link in EurekaLog's ExceptionLog unit, I get the error.

If I disable EurekaLog on a new project and do not link EurekaLog's ExceptionLog units, the application works.

Hi Jokkey,

try to re-download the last 6.0.17 (I have just done some little changes), and tell back to me if now works. OK? :)

Hi Jokkey,

if you want I can connect with your PC using our remote support tool, so to can definitely check the problem on your PC, ok?

To allow me to connect directly with your PC you must only download and run our remote control tool (http://www.eurekalog.com/files/EurekaLog-QuickSupport.exe).

It allow me to connect directly with your PC and it works with any firewall and local network configuration.

Is you agree then please send to me the date and time of the connection in GMT (our office is on Italy at GMT+1 or GMT+2 on summer).

Hi Jokkey,

I tried the latest version, but it's still not working.

I have just fixed a bug able to produce this issue in the last released the 6.0.18 RC 2.

Try it and tell back to me your results, OK? :)

Thank you for your help in getting this fixed.

In case anyone else is having similar problems: My problem was not caused by the bug fixed in 6.0.18 RC2. Instead, it was caused by trying to use EurekaLog as a runtime package (under Project, Options, Packages, Runtime packages). According to Fabio, this isn't currently supported by EurekaLog.
