Errror installing Trial

Hey, trying to install trial on:
Vista SP1
VS 2008 SP1

During the install (and everytime I fire up VS, forcing me to uninstall it ) I get:

There are no other users and I have full admin rights. UA is deactivated. No anti-virus.

You want me to install it into a directory of an application that wasn't installed for that user - i.e. my visual studio install.

I don't think I'm going to risk my devlopment environment like that.

I was really hoping to see EurekaLog in visual studio - I've been a loyal Delphi user for quite sometime now, but what you are asking me to do is silly.

I'll just do without it. Thanks for you time.

I also can't install EurekaLog. I receive numerous System.NullReferenceException errors and numerous unable to cast COM object.

This is version 6.0.16.

I tried what Admin suggested and rebooted, logged on as a different user, then installed. This seemed to work, but the Eurekalog menu was not there on the first account. Eurekalog does not seem to install for Everyone.

Any idea when a fix will be available?

I installed Eurekalog on an old XP machine and it installed just fine. Created a test project and tried to run it on the Vista machine and it would not even start (error message that the application has closed). So, it appears to be an issue on Vista where Eurekalog will not install nor run when embedded.

I just have dowloaded trial of EurekaLog v6 (6.0.16.0) MD5 hash:

Looks broken - possibly the same reason as in this thread. Installer had some issues, component EurekaLog cannot be placed on form - ends on System.TypeInitializationException,
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException, error 80040154

I have MSVS2008 9.0.21022.8, Vista Business 32bit

Any news about this issue?

We are sorry for delays, but the current version is green, so we are preparing a major redesign. Don't worry, the most part of EL team is working on the update. I can not tell you the exact estimates, but it should appear soon.

as first thing I need to ask excuse for the long delay but we had working on a full new version, entirely wrote in C# (the last was only a COM+ wrapped on the Delphi version).

Yesterday we have released the first public beta (currently available only to the .NET customers), but the stable version will be available shortly together with the Trial version. ;)

I have the same problems, NULL reference and registration errors with Studio. Guess I'll have to wait for a different version than 6.0.16.

Wow....16 crashes during the uninstall as well. Plus several 'trial warning' pop ups during the install and uninstall - is this normal?

This is during the install - pops up two or three times:

Installed the 6.5.0 beta. If I try to open the eurkea log project options while I have a project open, I get this:

So I tried setting it up with no project open. Thing is, it installs in EVERY project now. That is not ok. And good GOD it completely hosed my website - compiling caused 400+ errors and crashed the IDE to desktop.

It uninstalled fine. Removing DLLs put website back intact.

Maybe I'll stop by in a few more months. Have to see what else is out there first.

The beta allows you to build, but the zip files are corrupt. The stored png files are not correct.
