"Save a Zip file copy in case of send failure" bug/feature?

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature but if you turned on the option "Save a Zip files copy in case of send failure" and don't specify the "Log file output path" then it doesn't save the zip file (at least not to the folder where the .exe located). If you specify the log file output path then when EurekaLog failed to send it'll save the .zip file to that path.

You can found a zipped report at
c:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\EurekaLog\{project-name}\BugReport.zip

What version of EL do you use?

I'm using 6.0.18. Yes, there is a zipped report in c:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\EurekaLog\{project-name}\BugReport.zip. That's not where the user should be looking for the .zip file, don't you think? If there's no "log file output path" setting can we keep the .zip file where the .elf is, please?

Hi.

Unfortunately such strange behaviour is by design - there were multiply suggestions from clients about folders paths and we end up with a little strange logic. We are changing it in v7 (it is is development now).
