Hello,
A client reported this problem:
when an application is started it gives a message "EurekaLog has encountered an internal error Do you want to see the complete log ?". When clicking OK it just closes. EurekaLog version 6.5.3. I could not reproduce this problem on my machine, but on the client's system the application cannot be started anymore.
Please fix this ASAP.
Regards,
Dmitry

Hi Dmitry,
Is there anything specific on the client's PC?
What OS is the client using?
Since when does this problem exist? Did it start with 6.5.3 (you said; 'can not be started anymore'), or it existed with previous versions?
Right now, there's nothing that would make tracking this bug possible :(

Hello,
The OS is Vista 32. The problem appeared after upgrading to 6.5.3 from 6.5, but it did not happen immediately. The client could use a program a couple of days, however since that message appeared the program cannot be started anymore. I understand very well that with this report the chances to track the problem down are minor. Probably, the first step would be to see why the "complete log" of Eureka cannot be shown. Most likely, I will have to rollback EurekaLog to 6.5.

Dmitry

Hi Dmitry,
We've made a change for the upcoming release regarding EurekaLog.NET's internal errors.
Namely, even if the user chooses not to see the full call stack, or for whatever reason the call stack isn't displayed (like the situation you're describing) a error dump is saved in the AppData/EurekaLog for Visual Studio directory.
So, we'll be able to find out what's causing the problem on your client's PC, and fix it afterwards.
The release is being prepared and is expected to come out tomorrow.

Hi Dmitry,
we have just released the 6.5.4 stable version.
Can you check if it solve your issue too, please?
Otherwise it is able to create the internal crash-report directly on a file (showing its location), so that your customer will be able to send it to you, and you t me, OK? :)
