View Full Version : Problems with Email

I asked this a while back but I'm still having problems.
The option I'm using is the SMTP server. One minute it works and the next it doesn't. It seems very variable. The trouble is this is happening on various clients PCs and I'm missing error reports. Again sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't all on the same PC.
The message which comes up is:
"[SMTP] Connection Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Socket log:"
I've just tried upgrading to the latest 5.1.5 and this still happens.
I don't have any problems sending emails myself from my applications although I don't actually do this generally. I thought I'd just try it out using various methods to see if any problems came up.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mark

Hi,
I've got the same problem.
Using EurekaLog 6.0.14 with the build-in SMTP-server.
Client uses the Windows XP Firewall. My application ha acces through
the firewall.
Anti-Virus = AVG. (outgoing mails are not checked)
I've checked http://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/58 but no sigar.
Do you have any other ideas? Or can I set things up differently so I
can temporary bypass the problem.
With regards, Stef
